Today is the 1 year anniversary of my YouTube channel’s first video.
Sean’s Music Hunt currently has 896 subscribers with 38 videos that have together gotten over 58,000 views. The most successful video is reaching 15,000 views alone.
I have had many very prideful moments in which people from all over the world have thanked me for sharing info and appreciating their own cultures.
Some of my proudest moments were meeting Noy Pillora of ASIN in person, meeting an excellent drummer to collaborate with online, Ramiro Escamilla, meeting Andy Cahan who played with The Turtles and was dear friends with one of my favorite musicians of all time, Harry Nilsson, and of course, creating documentaries on bands that needed recognition and their stories told either in general or in English, including Comus, Egg, Harmonium, and Serú Girán. I was also very proud when the Serú Girán YouTube account commented on my video thanking me for creating it.
I’m really excited to see what will happen next with the channel and what roads it may open in the future. I had originally had a goal of hitting 1,000 subscribers by this point, but I slowed down on my releases to focus on the quality of videos as well as the quality of life and I certainly do not regret that. But if you haven’t subscribed already, I would really, really appreciate it if you did so. Thank you to everyone who has already subscribed and a HUGE thank you to everyone that actually watches my videos. I appreciate it more than I can properly express.
